The last few weeks have been an inspiration and a massive awakening for me as I experienced the use of data and analytics in Sports. Having played competitive cricket, I was curious to know more about the role of analytics in sports. Gaurav Sundararaman, Senior Data Analyst, ESPN along with CoLLearn, Srishty Jain, CFA, CAIA imparted an exceptional program which introduced the best in class analytics and techniques used in modern day sports. Worked on several projects which ranged from Strategizing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Kings 2021 IPL comeback strategy, identifying the GOAT in Tennis - Roger Federer - Rafael Nadal - Novak Djokovic and executing some sharp video analytics in soccer. And it didn't end there, got a real low down of how data is used by Indian Cricket Team, Indian Premier League, through some fascinating case studies.
