How does an umpiring career work in India?
To become an umpire in India, you just need to be 18+ years of age, fit and have sound knowledge of the ‘laws of cricket’. One can be a professional full-time or a part-time umpire. For that, you need to clear the umpiring exams and get certified by any State Cricket Association or BCCI or ICC to officiate matches conducted by the respective bodies. Other than that, one can also officiate matches in private/corporate local leagues.
What opportunities open up after doing the course?
After the course, you will get a confirmed internship with one of the biggest cricket academies in India located in Bangalore. You will get the practical experience of officiating matches and even a chance to make it a full-time job. We will also help you prepare for umpiring exams by State Cricket Associations, BCCI and also Cricket South Africa (CSA). Moreover, you will provided by any information regarding local leagues/matches happening near your place.
What is the CSA Level-1 Umpiring Exam?
It is an umpiring exam conducted by Cricket South Africa (CSA) every year to recruit umpires. It is conducted online as well, so, anyone who hits the minimum eligibility criteria can take this exam. In this year’s edition of the exam, out of the 62 people who cleared it globally, 28 were CoLLearners. Moreover, 2 of our students actually topped the merit list!

It is a completely live online course
Will the recordings of the sessions/classes be shared?
Incase you miss any live session, the recording of the session will be provided (non-downloadable)
Are there any prerequisites, technical or otherwise, to attend the course?
Passion for cricket is a must, and then a smart device with internet would be enough.
Would my doubts be addressed in the class?
Yes, all your doubts would be addressed during the classes. Post the classes it can be addressed during the mentorship period through the community group.
Will I be getting any certificate after the completion of course?
Yes, you will be getting the Certificate of Completion after attending the course.
What is included in the mentorship?

- We will help you prepare for the umpiring exams of your respective State Cricket Association and also the Cricket South Africa Level-1 Umpiring Exams by conducting mock exams and solving previous papers.
- One-on-one doubt clearing sessions
- We will refer you to matches (if any) for on-ground practice near your place.
- We will also address all your queries during this period.
How many students do you take per batch?
We take a maximum of 15 to 20 students per batch.
